This exhibit represents the diversity of Gary Parker’s photographic work, from his early years as a photojournalist to his later pursuits in advertising and corporate photography and his pro bono work with the Little People of America.
Gary Parker began his photojournalism career in the 1970’s at the Charlotte Observer in North Carolina, winning several awards for his coverage during that era. As a successful staff photographer for Time Warner in the early 80’s, Gary was then recruited to the San Jose Mercury News to teach lighting to the photo staff. He met his wife Kimberly in 1994 while on assignment, and in 1995 they launched Parker Photographic Productions, focusing on pet advertising and corporate photography in Silicon Valley. The Parkers relocated to the beautiful McKenzie River Valley in 2016.
