
Here’s a LOOK at the events currently planned for the next couple months! Everyone is welcome to attend. Every Tuesday doors open at 11:00am at the Vida McKenzie Community Center, 90377 Thomson Lane. Senior Center Programs last until 1:00pm. Programs are a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and grow. They include socializing, a speaker or activity, and lunch (with a suggested donation of $5).

Planned Senior Center Programs
March 18 – Just in case you missed it!
26 folks participated in Senior Center activities on March 18. Early arrivals played Cribbage and Banana Grams. Nancy Ashley and Shelly Pruitt prepared lunch, which was followed by a fascinating and visually delightful “armchair travel” experience of Antarctica, presented by Carol Farnworth.
March 25 at the VMCC: Jack Richardson of Upriver Organics will speak about Organic Farming and Crop Share programs.
April 1 at the VMCC: Dr. Dan Gleason of Wild Birds Unlimited will share information on local birds.
April 8 at the VMCC: Courtney Queen will speak about Cascade Homeschool Club. She will share wonderful examples of what the kids do and make each Monday at our VMCC!
April 15 at the VMCC: Marty Mealy will talk about the Leaburg Library, highlighting the library’s special collections and upcoming events
April 22 at the VMCC: Amber & Brian Jackson will share information on Bee Keeping; to be followed by Honey Tasting opportunities.
May 6 at the VMCC: Belinda Greb, wildlife photographer will share photos of Endangered and Non-Endangered Wildlife. Belinda is a local resident who travels a great deal and whose photographs have been featured in magazines, on calendars, and elsewhere.
